Since its inception in 2014, True Western Roundup has stood out as a unique community event. Located in Durango, CO, and held at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, The True Western Roundup attracts families, locals, groups, and visitors worldwide.

Founder Al Harper and his family established a commitment to preserving Western heritage by showcasing it through historic scenic railroads, museums, and family events. 

True Western Rounup's mission is to produce events that preserve the western heritage, promote business, support human and animal athletes, build community and provide a family friendly atmosphere in an authentic fashion.

Rodeo gates open at 5:00pm; the performance starts at 6:30 pm. All events happen every night at the True Western Roundup! Saddle Bronc Riding, Ranch Bronc Riding, Breakaway Roping, Mutton Bustin, Steer Riding, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling and Tie Down roping.
