Scott Dorenkamp
PRCA Representative
Scott Dorenkamp has spent his life deeply involved in rodeo on a number of levels. He’s been a steer wrestler, pickup man, flank man, chute boss, stock contractor and rodeo producer. He has been the Livestock Program & Government Relations Manager at the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) since 2019. He tracks animal welfare statistics, animal welfare complaints, and government regulations/proposed regulations.
In addition to the Western Justice advisory board, he serves on the equine welfare committee and health and regulatory committee of the American Horse Council. He is also a Colorado Horse Development Authority Board Member.
Scott and his wife, Nicole, make their home in Colorado. He taught secondary mathematics and coached football, basketball, and track for over 20 years. Scott and Nicole have one son, Wacey, who is a PRCA steer wrestler.
